Hardware

We build it. We break it. We fix it.

The essence of hardware lies with failure -- screwing it up, yet managing to make it better next time. Working with precision and accuracy are of great importance, but the reality is hardware can’t always live up to those standards. One cornerstone goal of the hardware team is learning how to better fabricate parts through past mistakes -- what methods to use for marking parts, how to drill the perfect hole, or knowing what tool works best for the job.

"Speaking of tools, hardware has a wide array of pretty power tools available to them. Learning how to properly and safely operate each one is an important skill which is very valuable for both robotics and any future fabrication jobs you may have. If you enjoy using your hands and don’t mind getting a little dirty, hardware is the perfect fit!"
